The SCUBAPRO Regulator Museum is owned by Harry Ward, the Director of Sales, Scubapro Americas, and Kenny Wheeler, Manager and Chief Technician of Ocean Divers, Key Largo, Fl.
The Museum started when Harry, had the idea of putting up a display of Vintage SCUBAPRO regulators at one of his Dealers’ shops. Harry chose Ocean Divers in Key Largo, the first SCUBAPRO ADVENTURE STORE.
The original display was housed in a small display cabinet and after a year of work it contained the first version of each First and Second stage regulator that SCUBAPRO AMERICAS ever offered.
The Display remained as it was for about a year. Then Harry and Kenny decided to go on a quest to gain possession of each and every version of SCUBAPRO regulators offered in the Americas.
It took about two years of hard searching to finally locate each one. The display is now over 4 times the size of the original and contains what we think is the complete collection of regulators offered by SCUBAPRO AMERICAS. The Display along with the web site also contains a few unique pieces from the European market. Each and every piece works as if it came out of the box.
It is our understanding that this is the only complete collection in the world. SCUBAPRO itself does not have a collection this extensive.
Kenny researched the History of each piece and wrote descriptions of each Regulator so that anyone could determine which SCUBAPRO regulator they had. The History then was passed around to several experts to varify the accuracy of the History. The result is a good comprehensive report on the Museum pieces for everyone to enjoy.
