ADJ--Adjustable

AF- - Anti-Freeze

Ambient ports- -The openings on Scubapro piston style first stages. These holes allow water, at ambient pressure, to assist in the operation of the piston.

BAL- - Balanced

D as in D300, G as in G250, R in R190, M in M50, S in S600 and A as in A700 represent the initial of the engineer that designed this second stage  regulator.  The letter designations did not begin until 1986 with the G250.

First Stage- -This regulator attaches to the SCUBA tank.  It reduces the tank pressure down to an intermediate pressure.  This pressure on SCUBA regulators is 125-145 PSI.

Graph- - Graphite

MK- -Mark ,”Top of the Mark”.  The very best.

OCTO- - Octopus

SA- -Stainless and Aluminum

Second Stage- -This regulator is the part that the diver holds in their mouth.  This regulator further reduces the intermediate pressure (see above) down to a breathable ambient pressure.

S.P.E.C.- -ScubaPro Environmental Cap. Or Silicon Protective Environmental Cap This system included an Environmental Silicon that was very thick and sticky.  This was inserted into the ambient chamber in order to make the first stages more cold water proof.

T - -Titainium

TI - -Titanium and Aluminum

TIS- -Thermal Insulating System.  This system included a Teflon coated main spring in the first stage and a composite piston head.  This prevented any metal inside the first stage from touching any other metal to assist with cold water diving.

UL- -Ultra-light

V.I.V.A.- -Venturi Initiated Vaccum Assist
